A ginger cat at Mumbai’s Gundavali Metro station has gone viral after a commuter jokingly suggested that the feline be given an official position. The cat, which has become a familiar sight at the station, has now humorously found a place in the organisational hierarchy of the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd (MMMOCL). Commuter Sandesh Samant shared the photograph of the cat sitting near the entrance of the Gundavali station and tagged MMMOCL with a playful request.
He wrote, “Dear Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd, please give this pure soul of Gundavli Metro station an official position. It’s working for free at the moment.”

MMMOCL decided to play along with the suggestion and gave the cat an unofficial designation of “Chief Feline Officer”.
MMMOCL mentioned, “That’s our Chief Feline Officer. Responsibilities include station inspections, commuter observation, and sitting exactly where everyone can admire them. So far, performance has been purrfect.”
