Afghanistan have reached 86/3 after 12 overs, with Sediqullah Atal and Gulbadin Naib at the crease. Afghanistan were reduced to 26/2 early on, as Hong Kong shocked them by scalping the wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran. However, Atal and Mohammad Nabi have stitched a fifty-run partnership, before the latter departed as well. Atal received a massive lifeline in the very first over, when Hong Kong captain Yasim Murtaza dropped a sitter. This is the first match in Group B, which also features Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
