World Athletics Championships 2025 Final Highlights: India’s Sachin Yadav outshone Neeraj Chopra to finish fourth in the World Athletics Championships javelin throw final on Thursday. Yadav came up with a personal best throw of 86.27m, and narrowly missed a podium finish. Neeraj Chopra returned empty-handed. He could come up with a best throw of only 84.03m. It was even less than his qualification mark – 84.85m. Since Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Neeraj Chopra has never returned without a medal from any event. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, the reigning Olympic champion, finished 10th. Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott won the gold medal with a season best attempt of 88.16m, while Grenada’s Anderson Peters was second with a best throw of 87.38m. USA’s Curtis Thompson was third with a best attempt of 86.67m.
