Several UPI users across India are experiencing unexpected technical issues in transactions, customers are complaining of transactions not going through while trying to make payment on popular apps like Google Pay, Paytm and others.
Data from tracking website Downdetector shows over 3,000 complaints on UPI payments since 6 pm.
Social media platforms have also been flooded with users expressing frustration over incomplete or delayed payments.
Several users have reported that their payments are either not going through or are getting stuck in processing. Some complain of money being deducted from their accounts without confirmation from the recipient’s end. Others are facing errors while initiating payments.
“I tried making a payment at a grocery store using UPI, but it kept failing. Even switching between Google Pay and Paytm didn’t help,” said Rajesh Sharma on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Many users shared similar experiences on X, tagging their respective banks and payment platforms for urgent resolution.
