JioStar has acquired the linear and digital broadcasting rights for The Hundred 2026 in India from the official rights holder, Sony Pictures Networks India, expanding its portfolio of cricket properties across television and streaming platforms.
The agreement gives JioStar exclusive rights to broadcast both the Men’s and Women’s competitions on Star Sports Network and stream them on JioHotstar. The 2026 edition of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) 100-ball tournament begins on July 21, with all 68 matches set to be available to viewers in India.
The tournament will open with a double-header featuring MI London and SunRisers Leeds in both the Women’s and Men’s competitions at The Oval.
Introduced by the ECB, The Hundred is designed around a 100-ball format aimed at attracting new audiences to cricket. The competition has grown into one of the world’s prominent franchise leagues and enters a new phase this season following the introduction of private investment and franchise rebranding.

Among the notable changes, Oval Invincibles will compete as MI London, Northern Superchargers have been renamed SunRisers Leeds, while Manchester Originals will now play as Manchester Super Giants.
The Men’s competition features several international stars, including Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Rashid Khan, Heinrich Klaasen, Phil Salt, Tim David, David Miller and Harry Brook. MI London enter the tournament as three-time defending champions under their new identity.
The Women’s tournament also boasts a strong Indian presence. Smriti Mandhana will represent Manchester Super Giants, while Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues are among the leading Indian players set to feature. Kiran Navgire, Shweta Sehrawat, Asha Sobhana and Nandani Sharma are also part of this season’s competition.
