Actor Kartik Aaryan is recovering at home after undergoing successful knee surgery in Mumbai. The actor was injured while performing an action sequence for his upcoming film with director Kabir Khan.

He was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mumbai following the injury. Kartik’s spokesperson confirmed that the surgery was successful and said the actor is now resting and recovering.

“Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon”, the spokesperson said, as quoted by HT.

According to reports, Kartik was under medical care and would need to rest for a few days after the surgery. He is expected to resume his work commitments after his recovery.

This is not the first time Kartik has suffered a knee injury during a film shoot. He had earlier injured his knee while shooting for his 2023 film Shehzada.

The injury comes soon after he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance as Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion in July. The sports drama was directed by Kabir Khan.

He shared the Best Actor award with Malayalam actor Mammootty, who won for his performance in Bramayugam. It was Kartik’s first National Award, while Mammootty won the honour for the fourth time.

“Still processing… Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I’ve carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful. Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion,” he wrote.

After his recovery, Kartik is expected to return to the sets of his untitled film with Kabir Khan. He will also complete the remaining portions of Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic drama, in which he stars opposite Sreeleela.
