It is now confirmed that Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran is set to marry music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The confirmation came after Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Kavya’s parents, Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran, and shared a video and pictures from the meeting. The duo met the Chief Minister to invite him to their daughter’s wedding reception. The post also revealed that the reception will be held in Chennai on November 21.
“Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran,” wrote Telangana CMO in a post.
“The wedding reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be held in Chennai on November 21,” it added.

Right after the post made the wedding official, cricket fans on social media were quick to make interesting connections. They claimed that Anirudh, who is set to marry SRH owner Kavya, is a die-hard fan of another IPL team, Chennai Super Kings.

CSK are five-time IPL champions, having won the trophy in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023. Meanwhile, SRH have won one IPL title so far, with the glory coming in 2016.
Talking about Kavya Maran, she is the daughter of Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and serves as an Executive Director at Sun TV Network. She is also associated with the IPL as the owner of SRH.
On the other hand, Anirudh Ravichander is a popular music composer who has worked on several major films, including Leo, Indian 2, Vettaiyan, Vidaamuyarchi and Coolie.
